Instructions for written paper: Discuss a recent technology that supports high performance computing.
Some factors to include in your paper can include (but are not limited to):
i. a discussion of emerging technologies that can augment computational speed
ii. a discussion of emerging technologies that can lower IT energy consumption
iii. a discussion of emerging technologies that minimize IT device dimensions
iv. a discussion of the fundamental limits to energy use in computing and the prospect of reaching those limits.
v. a discussion of specific emerging applications (such as blockchain technology, autonomous vehicles, etc.) that may lead to large growth in IT power use
The main topic of your paper should be clarified to the reader at the outset. Your paper should be well structured, with an introduction and a conclusion, and should be supported by reference to credible information sources. The quality of the writing will be assessed, and consequently you should pay attention to grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation, and overall sentence structure, as well as to the organization of the paper.
