Please try to estimate your personal ICT GHG footprint (on a weekly basis) and compare it with the GHG footprint for driving a gasoline powered car. State clearly the assumptions that you are making and provide a list of information sources. Please try to be as complete as possible (i.e. consider the power consumed by displays as well as processors, and consider remote power consumption in servers, telecom networks etc., as well as local power consumption). You do not need to take the embodied energy of devices into account.
Tricks: To obtain maximum marks you may consider:
• Provide a comprehensive list of your ICT uses
• Perform calculations based on reasonable sources of information
• Consider local, network and remote power use
• List your sources of information
• State the assumptions, estimates and uncertainties that will effect the accuracy of your final answer
